My name is Michael Rourke, and I am so excited to be part of the Promontory Pointe Piranha family! I am the current head aquatics coach at Reagan High School, and have been in that position for 7 years. I have been a head high school coach for over 10 years, and have been head coach at different summer leagues around the North Austin and DFW areas. I have coached athletes all the way from 4 years old to state champions and All-Americans; I was named the 2025 TISCA 6A Swim Coach of the Year. Whether your child is diving into swim team for the first time or is a returning competitor, our program offers a supportive environment that encourages growth and celebrates effort and improvement.
When I’m not on the pool deck, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. Whether we're exploring the outdoors, walking the dogs, cooking together, or just relaxing at home, those moments are a chance to slow down and connect. Family time is important to me—it brings balance to my busy coaching schedule and reminds me of the value of support, teamwork, and laughter, both in life and in the sport I love.
I'm excited to serve as head coach this summer and be part of a team/community full of energy and potential. I look forward to helping each swimming improve, build confidence, and most importantly, have a fun and memorable season!
Hi !! My name is Valentina, Coach Val. I am a college student. I have been part of the Promontory Pointe swim team for many years. I was a swimmer for 5-6 years, and have been part of the staff for 3 years. I love the sport as well as the amazing community. I like how we are one big family, which is seen at all the meets with everyone helping, and cheering (parents and kids). One of my favorite parts of our team is seeing the kids improvement throughout the season as well as throughout the years.
