First Practice 101
First Practice is Monday May 4th (please see schedule for days and times)
*Please have your swimmer check in with the TEAM REPRESENTATIVE once you arrive at the pool. We would like to get them into the habit of checking in. Plus it gives both of us a chance to learn who they are.
POOL RULES
*Each swimmer must have a parent or a parent representative stay the entire duration of your swimmers practice time. We do not have lifeguards on duty and your eyes are needed to help with watching the pool for all our kids safety.
*Each swimmer will be required to wear their swim caps during every practice as well as all swim meets. We are trying to keep the amount of hair that gets into the pool filter to a minimum and this will help tremendously. This is not negotiable and if your swimmer refuses to comply they will not be able to swim. Swim caps will be given out first day of practice.
*All swimmers must be ready to swim with sunscreen, goggles and swim caps on at the start of their designated swim practice time. Our coaches work hard to make each practice fun and enjoyable and need to start on time for each group.
*Please refrain from talking to the coaches during/after practices. They need to stay on track to allow each age group to begin on time. Feel free to email them or find a TEAM REPRESENTATIVE and we can answer your questions.
*During all swim practices the baby pool will be closed to everyone who is involved with swim team. Home owners of Promontory Pointe are still able to utilize the pool and baby pool while swim team is practicing. With this being said, one lane will remain open for all home owners to use during our practices. Please be respectful of this and keep any children who are not practicing, at the time, out of that swim lane. It is distracting to those kids who are in the pool practicing as well as being frustrating to those home owners who are trying to utilize the pool. Our HOA is amazing and accommodating each year in allowing us to continue our swim team program. Please help us by abiding by their rules.
*Please help us keep the pool clean by picking up any trash and putting furniture back where it belongs before leaving swim practice. Every little bit helps.
